“Good design is a lot like clear thinking made visual.”
Before anything gets drawn, I find the constraint that actually governs the work: a platform limit, a regulation, a handoff, a capacity gap.
See it in the Dell / Quest case
I design systems the people inside them can run without me: clear roadmaps, intake, standards and ownership.
See it in the Collectiv case
Design gets the same discipline as operations: cadence, inventory, reporting and a plan for when things break.
See it in the Sectek case
Prototypes go into real hands early, from usability rigs to 3D-printed enclosures, and what we learn changes the product.

I’ve run Constant Studios since 2006, and the work has always come down to the same thing: find the real constraint, then design something people can actually run. Sometimes that’s a thermostat with a Homeowner View and a Technician View. Sometimes it’s operations for a team across Lagos, India, Virginia and Tennessee, or a label on a control board. I like the messy middle. I like shipping more.
